Carriage Ride to Inspiration Point
This is a family activity not to miss! Take a FREE ride in a horse drawn carriage through the streets of Old Nauvoo. Your driver will point out historic sites and orient you to the restored city. This is a great place to start your Nauvoo tour. Meet in the Historic Nauvoo Visitors Center Parking Lot (North side).

January 1- May 22: Monday-Saturday 10:15 am, 12:15 pm, and 2:15 pm
May 23 – August 21: Every hour on the quarter hour, 8:15 – 3:15.
After August 21: 10:15 am, 12:15 pm, 2:15 pm
Wagon Tour of Old Navuoo
Ride in a horse-drawn Conestoge wagon through the streets of Old Nauvoo. This FREE one hour ride is a great way to see the historic homes of Nauvoo and learn a little about the history. Meet in the Historic Nauvoo Visitors Center Parking Lot (North side).

May 23 – Aug 21, 2010: Monday – Saturday, every half hour, 8:00 am – 3:00 pm

Oxen and Wagon Ride and Trail of Hope
Ride in an authentic covered wagon pulled by an ox! The kids will love this FREE pioneer experience. Located just west of the Seventies Hall on Parley Street. While you’re there, check out the Trail of Hope, where you can read placards containing touching stories from the journals of the Nauvoo pioneers who left the city traveled westward. At the end of the trail is the Exodus to Greatness Monument that you won't want to miss!
Handcart Trek
In the summer months, you can participate in this FREE family experience. Reservations are required, so call ahead 217-453-2237, ext. 122. Allow about one to three hours for the guided tour, depending on the trail you select.
Family Living Center
Come to the Nauvoo Family Living Center to enjoy demonstrations of weaving, rope making, bread making, and other pioneer crafts. This FREE hands-on experience is a must-do for families. The Family Living Center is located on Main Street behind the Scovil Bakery (don’t miss the free gingerbread cookies at the bakery while you are there!). » More Information
Pioneer Pastimes
From April to November (weather permitting), enjoy pioneer games and activities. Children can dress up in pioneer clothing! Meet just south of the Scovil bakery. Monday - Saturday, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
