Adventure Zone
If you’ve had enough site seeing and are ready for some adventure, try chilling out at Adventure Zone on Highway 96, (from the Temple go about 2 miles east on Mulholland Street). There are go-carts, mini-boats, arcade games, a play land, and the best pizza in Nauvoo! Adventure Zone also has rooms for reunions, meetings, and birthdays.

Nauvoo City Park
A good place to sit and take a break is across from the Temple at the Nauvoo City Park. There are some picnic tables and a place for kids to run around. Next to the park is the Old Nauvoo Jail, which was built after the Mormon Pioneers left from blocks of stone taken from the Temple.
Nauvoo State Park
Nauvoo State Park is located on the south edge of Nauvoo, just across the street from Old Nauvoo. The 148 acre park features a 13-acre lake with a mile-long shoreline. Fishing, boating, camping, and hiking, is available. There is a scenic 1 1/2 mile trail along the edge of the lake. There are plenty of picnic tables and playground equipment for kids. The Nauvoo Historical Society also has a museum in the Nauvoo State Park: the Rheinberger Museum. Tours are free.
